AEP Events
28th Nov 08
The Adur Economic Partnership (AEP) is providing exciting grant opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs in the Adur area.
IF YOU ARE BETWEEN 18 - 30 ALREADY RUNNING A BUSINESS AND WANTING TO EXPAND, OR HAVE A NEW BUSINESS PROPOSAL, THIS COULD BE A BRILLIANT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!
Up to five £3000 cash grants will be awarded. This AEP project ‘Young Entrepeneurs in Adur’ will be run in a very similar way to that ‘well known BBC TV programme’. Candidates will need to provide structured business plans and details of their existing business and growth aspirations, or details of their new business ideas for consideration by a panel of assessors from the local business community.
Once initial shortlisting has taken place, selected candidates will be asked to make their presentations to the panel. Those taken through will repeat their presentations before a live audience at the event final, during which the winners will be announced. The AEP will be appointing Business Mentors who will provide future support.
Schedule of Events:
• Closing date for receipt of applications: 20 February 2009
• Short-listing by the panel of Assessors will take place in late February 2009
• During March candidates shortlisted will be called to make their presentations to the panel
• The event ‘final’ will take place in front of a live audience on 8 April 2009
