YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS IN ADUR PRESENTATION EVENING TUESDAY 21 APRIL 2009

The Young Entrepreneurs in Adur project was set up by the Adur Economic Partnership with the aim of encouraging young people aged between 18 and 30 to apply for five awards of up to £3000. Those eligible were required to be already running a business in the Adur area and in need of cash to expand or those with a new business proposal. Applicants were required to submit business plans and those candidates selected took part in Dragons’ Den style presentations before a panel of assessors who themselves, were selected for their experience and expertise in the business community.

The two successful candidates each awarded £3000 were Home Grown Café an established event caterer waiting to expand and The Noise Next Door an improvised comedy troupe facilitating corporate ‘away-days’ for local businesses. Mentors have been appointed to assist in the development of these two companies.
